Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has accused members of his family of repeatedly interfering in his personal life, alleging that their actions contributed to the collapse of his marriage to Annie Idibia. The singer added that family members are now endangering his relationship with Natasha. In an emotional video shared online, the award-winning singer said the situation has escalated beyond normal family disputes, claiming that Natasha is now receiving death threats as a result of the ongoing crisis. According to him, his family “destroyed” his marriage with actress Annie Idibia through constant interference, false narratives, and internal conflicts. He warned that the same pattern of behaviour was now being repeated this time against his current partner, Natasha. 2Baba stressed that he is mentally sound, not in danger, and capable of making decisions about his own life, dismissing what he described as attempts to portray him as unstable. ‘I am a Biafran’ – Singer Kcee declares

Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has declared himself as a “Biafran.” He argued that every Igbo person is a Biafran, claiming that Biafra is an ethnographical region like Arewa and Oduduwa, and not a separatist identity. Kcee spoke in a recent interview with Yanga 89.9 FM, Lagos. “As far as I am concerned, every Igbo man under the sun today is a Biafran. I am a Biafran. I am an Igbo man and Biafra is where we are from. It is just like the Arewas and Oduduwas,” the singer expressed. He added, “Biafra was created in 1967. Frank Opigo from Bayelsa suggested that name for the Igbos and we adopted it in 1967. Before 1967, who are we? Igbos. Being Igbo means you are still a Biafran.”

Wizkid shades Davido as his album emerges most streamed African album of 2025

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has taunted his colleague Davido after his album Morayo emerged as Apple Music’s most streamed album of 2025 in Sub-Saharan Africa. Morayo beat Davido’s 5ive, which ranks at number two on the list. Before the release of his project, Davido had boasted that his album would overshadow those released before it. Many believed it was a shade at Wizkid, who had released an album during the same period. “Album go swallow album,” Davido had boasted in Pidgin. Following Morayo’s emergence as the number one Sub-Saharan African album of the year on Apple Music, ahead of Davido’s, Wizkid appeared to have shaded Davido in a recent tweet referencing the earlier boast. Wizkid wrote, “Dem say album go swallow album dem dey ground dey smell now! ” His tweet has been interpreted by many as a direct shade at Davido, with some fans fearing it could reignite their social media rivalry. However, Davido has yet to respond.
